Outdoor Experiences During Covid-19
During this uncertain time many of us feel robbed of our freedom to physically connect with one another, but now more than ever nature presents itself as a life giving resource that is there for all of us to enjoy. Join us as we navigate this new normal by adding a little adventure.
Surfing
Our surf programs will quickly dust off the cobwebs of quarantine! We’ve made our surf lessons contact free, focusing on verbal instruction rather than direct physical contact, creating a safe environment while equipping students with the tools they need to catch and ride waves. This benefits surfers in establishing independence, self reliance, and strength while keeping them worry free when they go home.
Our Approach:
Zero physical contact during surf lessons
Anyone experiencing Covid-19 symptoms will not be allowed to participate
Small classes 4-6 people per instructor
At least 6’ kept between all participants
Equipment is rinsed and disinfected prior to lesson
Rock Climbing
Rock climbing can be a relatively contact free sport. The only items that are shared are the climbing rope and the rock itself. If participants sanitize their hands before and after climbing, wear masks, and maintain physical distance while relaxing between climbs, the climbing area can be a very safe place to go and let off some of that quarantine steam.
Our Approach:
Masks will be worn by all participants and instructors unless they are on the climbing wall
Anyone experiencing Covid-19 symptoms will not be allowed to participate
Physical distancing of 6ft or more will be maintained between all participants
All used gear will be disinfected or put into a 72 hour quarantine
Each climber is given clean gear, and no gear is shared other than the rope
Hand sanitizer will be handy for participants to use before and after climbing
